Cheers to 15 years! Time to Start Something New

After 15 years as a favorite dining spot for fans of chef-driven, award-winning cuisine served in an intimate, historic venue, the Red Hen team is switching things up.

Today we have some big news: The Red Hen will offer its final service on December 31, 2023.

Beginning in early 2024, the creative team behind Red Hen will unveil a brand new project. We can’t say too much about it now – we believe anticipation whets the appetite – but we can tell you that Chef Matt Adams will be bringing something brand new to the Lexington dining scene. The new venture will bring to life a vision that’s been simmering behind the scenes for a while.

While still in the same location, there will be a new name, a new look, and a new vibe. Our commitment to quality and creating outstanding experiences will not change.

So if you’ve been a guest of ours, we hope you’ll think fondly of your evenings at 11 E. Washington St. and you’ll look forward to joining us in our next incarnation. If you haven’t had a chance to dine with us, there’s still a little time left.

We’ll have a lot more to say in the coming days, but for now, a few important notes:

For our final month of service in December, we will be serving a special four-course fixed price menu only. We expect to be busy, so make your plans accordingly. Details are available on our Resy reservation page.
What about my gift certificates? If you have Red Hen Gift Certificates that you won’t be able to use before we close, no problem. We will be honoring all outstanding Red Hen gift certificates in the new place. Please note that gift certificates have no cash value.
